Benjamin L. Bailey

Ben is a Harvard Law graduate, former federal prosecutor, and former chief counsel to the Governor of West Virginia. He loves to try cases. Most recently, he distinguished himself as a member of the plaintiffs’ lead counsel committee in one of the nation’s largest and most complex MDL cases, the Toyota sudden acceleration litigation, a class action case that ultimately settled for $1.6 billion. Ben was recently included in The National Trial Lawyers: Top 100, an invitation-only organization of the premier trial lawyers from each state in the nation.

Brian A. Glasser

Brian, a Harvard Law graduate and Rhodes Scholar, has tried mass actions to verdict, and has led major consumer class action cases for more than ten years. He is consistently involved in high-stakes, headline-grabbing commercial litigation, and brings an exceptional degree of experience, having negotiated and managed billions of dollars worth of business transactions. Brian served as lead counsel in winning a $62.5 million class action settlement against H&R Block, while other firms across the country litigated similar cases against Block without success.

John W. Barrett

John has litigated dozens of class action cases involving robocall telemarketing (TCPA), mortgage loan overcharges, predatory lending, consumer finance, and consumer protection and antitrust cases for state governments. John has tried multi-plaintiff mass action cases, and has argued appeals in state and federal courts addressing the Class Action Fairness Act, WV Consumer Credit and Protection Act, employment discrimination laws, and federal jurisdiction.

Eric B. Snyder

Head of Product Liability Practice Group
Eric handles cases involving defective products, catastrophic injuries, and consumer fraud. Eric was recently ranked by AmLaw Daily as one of the 75 most formidable plaintiff’s lawyers in the United States, and serves on the plaintiff’s lead counsel committee for the personal injury cases consolidated in the Toyota sudden acceleration MDL. Eric holds a degree in mining engineering from Penn State, and frequently litigates mining-related injury and commercial cases.

P. Gregory Haddad

Head of Personal Injury Practice Group
A partner in our Morgantown, West Virginia office, Greg has tried over 70 injury cases to verdict, most involving complicated medical issues. His personal injury practice focuses on catastrophic personal injury, defective prescription drugs, and medical negligence. As a former pharmacist, Greg brings extensive medical knowledge to his practice at the firm.

Jonathan R. Marshall

Head of Consumer Practice Group
Jonathan brings class actions alleging violations of state and federal consumer and employment-protection laws, and serves in a leadership capacity in a nationwide TCPA MDL alleging illegal telemarketing by home security companies. He also has tried and held leadership roles in mass action cases.

Gregory Y. Porter

Head of ERISA Practice Group
Greg litigates complex pension, consumer, and investor class actions in federal and state courts all over the United States. Greg is best known for his work on retirement plan cases, including 401(k) plans, pension plans, and ESOPs. These cases involve conflicts of interest, investment mismanagement, excessive fees, and other financial misconduct and fraud. Lately, Greg has been focusing on excessive fees in 401(k) plans and ESOP valuations for privately held companies.

Michael L. Murphy

Mike has served in leadership roles in antitrust MDLs, and is currently on the management committee for a consortium of firms representing the governors, attorneys general, and agencies of 22 states bringing actions against major oil companies to recoup hundreds of millions of dollars in improper underground-storage-tank payments.

John Roddy

Head of TCPA and Whistleblower Practice Groups
With leadership in major cases and 15+ years as plaintiff’s chair of a national consumer law conference, Boston-based John Roddy has a national reputation for excellence in class action litigation involving violations of state and federal consumer protection laws (FDCPA, TILA, RESPA, TCPA, ECOA, and others), and representing whistleblowers in qui tam cases.

Elizabeth Ryan

Head of Employment Practice Group
Boston-based Elizabeth Ryan represents consumers in class actions challenging violations of state and federal consumer laws, and employees in wage and hour class actions in Massachusetts and other states. Her cases have recovered hundreds of millions of dollars for class members.

Thanos Basdekis

A partner in our Charleston, WV office, Thanos concentrates on commercial litigation, ERISA/ESOP litigation, and bankruptcy- and insolvency-related litigation. Thanos’ work as an attorney is about helping others. He enjoys working with clients to help them meet their goals in their businesses and in the courtroom.

Ryan T. Jenny

Ryan is a partner in our Washington, D.C. office. He practices primarily in the area of complex employee benefits litigation, representing clients in actions brought under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA).

Kerrie Wagoner Boyle

A partner in our Morgantown, WV office, Kerrie focuses her practice on catastrophic personal injury, specializing in medical malpractice torts and pharmaceutical litigation. Kerrie has successfully litigated hundreds of personal injury, professional liability, products liability and insurance coverage cases.

Patricia Mulvoy Kipnis

A partner in our Cherry Hill, New Jersey office, Trish litigates class action and consumer rights cases alleging violations of state and federal consumer protection laws. She also has broad experience in products liability and personal injury cases.

David L. Selby II

David handles all aspects of litigation, including class actions and personal injury. David spent his first few years after law school in public service and served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Tuscaloosa County DA's office. He works from our Birmingham, Alabama office.

Sam A. Hrko

Sam is a partner in the firm's Charleston, WV office. He works mostly on catastrophic personal injury litigation, representing plaintiffs harmed by automobile accidents, industrial and mining accidents, aviation accidents and tractor-trailer crashes. He also works on product liability cases.

Jeffrey R. Baron

Jeff is a partner in the firm's St. Louis office. Jeff focuses his practice in commercial litigation involving energy-related matters and business disputes. Jeff has represented individuals and corporations through all stages of the litigation process and has successfully handled trials, administrative proceedings, arbitrations, and appeals in a variety of areas.

James L. Kauffman

James has litigated nationwide class actions that involve complex financial allegations. James concentrates his practice in antitrust, business litigation, securities, environmental, consumer fraud, and whistleblower protection matters.

Patrick Muench

Patrick focuses his practice on complex litigation. He has experience handling cases involving bankruptcy, major national bank failures, and international discovery.

Benjamin P. Lajoie

As an associate, Ben focuses primarily on complex civil litigation. Ben joined the firm in 2015 after graduating from the University of New Hampshire School of Law, magna cum laude.

Mark G. Boyko

Mark practices primarily in the area of complex fiduciary breach and prohibited transaction litigation, representing clients in actions brought under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA).

Travis A. Prince

Travis is an associate in the firm's Morgantown, WV office. His practice focuses on medical malpractice, product liability and catastrophic personal injury cases.

Victor S. Woods

Vic works in Bailey & Glasser’s Charleston, West Virginia, office, and concentrates in the areas of catastrophic personal injury, products liability, insurance bad faith, consumer protection, and class action litigation.

Alex L. Serber

As an associate, Alex focuses primarily on ERISA litigation. Alex joined the firm in 2017 after graduating from the University of Missouri School of Law, with honors.
